Well here’s the thing. The town of Bethlehem in 1992 under Israeli control was prosperous, safe, full of tourists and with a population that was 90 per cent Christian. With the Oslo peace accords Israel turned over control to the Palestinian authority. Muslim Palestinian Arab persecution reduced the Christian population to two per cent of Bethlehem’s population. Think that an isolated example? Look what Arafat and Muslim Palestinian Arabs did to the Christian population of Southern Lebanon in the 1970’s until Israel stopped the carnage in 1982. Look how Palestinian Muslim terrorists took over the church in Bethlehem and how Israel refrained from taking any action that could cause damage to the structure. Look how Palestinian Muslim terrorists infiltrated into the Christian neighborhood of Beit Jallah to carry out attacks against the Jerusalem neighborhood of Gilo knowing full well that any response would be at the expense of the Christians and their homes (using innocent people, schools, hospitals and religious places as shields is in fact a specialty of these “brave” souls).

Jews are even worse than Muslims. Muslims are violent and bloodthirsty but they kill the body. Jews are a threat to the soul of Christian civilization because for 2,000 years they have been working behind the scenes to destroy it and it looks like they have nearly succeeded. Look at how rotten society has become because of all the Jewish smut put out on our televisions and in our movie theaters. It’s because Hollywood is a Jewish industry.

First, I wouldn’t have the audacity to explain to you about Jews, Judaism,Torah or Talmud since that information is so readily available on internet sites such as JewWatch, Stormfront and “the Talmud Unmasked” and since you have repeatedly demonstrated an extensive knowledge of all that is written there about the Jews.

Secondly, you have to realize that of the some six billion seven hundred million people on the planet only fourteen million of them are Jews so that we make up roughly only a quarter of one per cent of the world’s population. So if the Jews are the only ancient people to be around after more than 3000 years as a nation, if the Jews have regained their sovereignty over their homeland after two thousand years, if the the Jews control only one per cent of the land of the middle east and are surrounded by a billion enemies yet are seemingly so powerful that they are accused of being the “aggressor”, if the Jews despite their minuscule numbers and despite the fact they were allowed to integrate into general Christian society only in the last two hundred years, make contributions so vast to society in so many fields that you believe we have this great power to control and influence all things, it seems to me there is obviously a higher power at work here. Unfortunately, in your case, when it comes to Jews you apparently think this higher power is Satan the anti-Christ.

Here we have a State half the size of Florida, and with the unrest all over the world, all eyes continue to be on Israel. This only affrims my belief in the sovereignty of God.

To me, the issue with Hagee is that it is only God if Hagee agrees with it. Otherwise, it is from the pits of hell. I am glad to know that Hagee has veto power

I am no fan of the Word of Faith movement. I have in-laws who have left the Catholic Church and follow the teachings of John Hagee. We have had some very difficult times because of the differences in what we believe to be true. However, I feel I must defend him to a degree. The original poster has complained about him not believing Christ to be the Messiah. Since this interested me I did some research and found that he was supposedly misunderstood by many of his readers. This is what he had to say:

“I was surprised to learn that some people were interpreting my words as a rejection of this most fundamental Christian belief that Jesus came to earth as the Messiah promised in the Hebrew Scriptures. I have been preaching the gospel for half a century. Almost every Sunday for the past 50 years, I have stood in front of Christian audiences to clearly proclaim the glory of our Lord, Savior and Messiah, Jesus Christ. For the past 30 years, these weekly sermons have been beamed to millions around the world on Christian television.”

I have not personally read this book, but his concern for how he was portrayed seems very sincere to me. I am inclined to believe him (unless he is a real good liar). I am dismayed that though we Catholics do not agree with his end times theology we criticize him and tear him up over a misunderstanding. He has decided to rewrite chapter 10 of his book since so many people had misunderstood that he was speaking from the Jewish perspective (this was apparently missed by many). I have to wonder: was it missed because we Catholics (and perhaps some Protestants too) want to find a reason to nail him down because we are at odds with what he preaches?

Well, I am catholic and i have watched john hagee’s program for many years. and i think a lot of catholics misunderstand him. becasue of what they think he says and what he really says.

Not too unlike a lot of protestants who have said their thoughts on cathlicism.

I read his book, and others, and i can tell you this:

If the jews had accepted Jesus as the Christ, He would not have been killed. And if he wasn’t killed, we would not have had the ability for our sins to be forgiven and the gates of heaven would not have been opened. Jesus refused to drink the last cup of wine at the passover because it is called the messaih cup. He said he would not drink from that cup .

yes, He cried for jerusalem. he wanted to gather her under His wings (which by the way are the tips of the prayer shawl held in the hands ) like a hen with her chicks ( and the imagery is the same as the Spirit hovering over a void earth). He cried because Jerusalem is His City where the Name of God is Written and from where he would rule. But first it would be destroyed (as he told the women). He knew His BRETHREN will suffer much , yet to come.

There are some things God cannot do. Unless you ask Him. He cannot force you to love Him. He cannot forgive you until you confess your sins( in whatever manner your chrsitianity allows). He cannot break His Covenant with the jews because it was a blood covenant and God says he will not, cannot, break it.

As for the alien thing, that has a couple of references. First, in joking, he refers to Jesus as someone not from this world(well that is true). And then, when we are called up(what is called the rapture, the world is being prepared , as for an explanation of why so amny are gone, that it is alien kidnapping. Do not make fun of a rapture. it is in corinthians and is read at every catholic funeral Mass.

I pity those who reject and mock the jews. never forget that these are Jesus’s BRETHREN> And He is coming again, And then they will see Him whom they have pierced . The Old Covenant still stands. Each covenant magnifies the next. We are so blessed to be grafted into the Olive tree and be part of the New and ever alsting covenenat

If one blames a nation or a particular people for the death of Christ (and not all who have sinned, Jew and Gentile alike and individually) there is no individual sin, there is only corporate sin.

To criticize the Jews as “Christ-killers” is to affirm the Jewish contention of a corporate messiah, by virtue of denying each individuals personal culpability (all have sinned and come short of the glory of God) and assigning it instead to a corporate body.

Are you trying to be ironic deliberately, or is it just that you didn’t really think it out very well?
