John Paul for my Confirmation name?

My family will be joining the Catholic Church this week, and we are so excited! I really admire Pope John Paul II. Can I use “John Paul”
as my confirmation name?
 
Dear c,

Pope John Paul is not a canonized saint at this point so you cannot choose him as your patron saint. However, you may be able to choose Saints John and Paul if your parish will allow it.
