I recently found this on Dale Broadhurst’s web site. Their is a possibility that Joseph Smith may have visited the area where Sidney Rigdon was living in Ohio as early as 1826. Here’s the link:

sidneyrigdon.com/books/Brew1945.htm

Both Joseph and Sidney vehemently denied meeting each other prior to 1831. If the linked to information has any legs it would be a major problem for Mormons. It would be interesting to see if any local newspapers had any references to Joseph Smith in Ohio in 1826. Unfortunately, access to such newspapers may be limited. It seems to me there is a lot of reason to believe Joseph and Sidney were conspiring together to create the Book of Mormon. Hopefully, we can establish a link that would destroy Mormonism’s founding story forever. There is sure a lot of smoke here to assume there isn’t a fire.

Anyone who believes that this would be a “major problem for Mormons” doesn’t understand the faith.
