I read this on a blog

Hear these words from the first preface to the Eucharistic Prayer of Lent: “**Father…each year you give us this joyful season” of Lent **(emphasis added). This preface goes on to express why we understand Lent as joyful – for it is “when we prepare to celebrate the paschal mystery with mind and heart renewed.”

I can’t find it anywhere else. Do you think that this is from the new translation of the Mass (the 3rd edition) or from the old?

Any help in locating it would be appreciated!

That’s from the old translation. In the new translation, the preface says:
For by your gracious gift each year your faithful await the sacred paschal feasts with the joy of minds made pure, so that, more eagerly intent on prayer and on the works of charity, and participating in the mysteries by which they have been reborn, they may be led to the fullness of grace that you bestow on your sons and daughters.
If you want the old version, you can just Google the phrase you have.
