How do you feel about Pope John Paul II statement on **Taking on a secular society **ewtn.com/vnews/getstory.asp?number=47657 I know what I’m to do but the Pope always reminds us of how important it is to evangelize. I guess most of the time I am guilty of waiting for the perfect moment to evangelize and as the Pope said “Do not be content with discussion; do not wait for opportunities that may never come, to do good,” “The time for action is now!” I need the strength to do this as we all do. I am going to take action are you!

What kind of action are you going to take? Posting on the Catholic Answers Forum is not exactly an act of heroism.

The world needs courageous Catholics like never before. But I mean doers and not just talkers. Problem is, there is incredible resistance to the Word of God today, incredible resistance, and especially in this very Country, America.

I pray that we all take some action to evangelize, myself included.

Thanks

Here’s a prayer our team developed during our Christ Renews His Parish weekend to help encourage us to evangelize to others.

Evangelization Prayer
Dear Lord, as your humble and faithful servant/s, help me/us to go out as Your Son sent the apostles to evangelize those around me/us.

Grace me/us with integrity to faithfully live Your Word;

Grace me/us with accountability to atone for my/our sins;

Grace me/us with insight to comfort those in pain;

Grace me/us with humility to serve Your people;

Grace me/us with strength to overcome adversity;

Grace me/us with calm to face difficult issues;

Grace me/us with Your loving care to nurture lost souls;

Grace me/us with helpfulness to ease the burdens of my/our neighbors;

Grace me/us with adventureness to follow where Your Spirit leads me/us;

Grace me/us with honesty to share the Good News;

Grace me/us with industry to be of greatest service to Your Will;

Grace me/us with compassion to help those that come to me/us in need;

Grace me/us with patience to listen to those around me/us;

Grace me/us with Your Son’s example to show others how to live in Christ;

Grace me/us with faith so that others know we live what we teach; and

Grace me/us with confidence to show our love for You in our daily lives.

I/We ask all these things not for my/our own Glory, but to live Your Will, in Your Name I/we pray

Amen.

A brutally blunt post Buckeyejoe, I’m not trying to be a HERO, I’m going to do what the Holy Father calls us to do…I agree we need courageous Catholics but what I feel one of the places we need to start or continue to grow is in our homes like being a Father and spiritual leader for my family and at work and at all places all the time. I have Hope, and I’m gaining courage to do whatever needs to be done in my home and community with the help of my Lord Jesus Christ.

:blessyou:

If its a brutally blunt post, please take no offense to it.

That’s the way I usually write.

God Bless,
