Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ, in satisfaction for my sins, in supplication for the holy souls in Purgatory, for the needs of Holy Church and especially for the soul of (Name). From The Raccolta

There are many devotions to the Precious Blood we might acquaint ourselves with this month. In addition to the prayer above, here are two other devotions:

Litany of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus
Chaplet of the Precious Blood

Any other ideas on how we can honor the Precious Blood this month?

Seven offerings of the Precious Blood

One day St. Mary Magdalen de Pazzi suddenly went into an ecstasy, she saw all the holy patrons of the city of Florence accompanied by innumerable other saints, before the Throne of God interceding for sinners. Their petitions, however, remained unanswered. Then the guardian Angels of the poor sinners approached, but their prayers likewise remained unheard. Next came the multitudes of the blessed to make intercession for the guilty souls. While imploring God’s mercy, they were intent at the same time upon offering to the Eternal Father the Precious Blood, and on account of the merits of the Divine Blood, their petitions were granted.

Both the Body and Blood are present in the Eucharistic Host; but you may try receiving communion also from the Chalice during July, if your parish offers it, as a special sign to meditate on the mystery.

Right, we’ll have to forego that this year. Maybe next year.
I would also like to say I think we need to make reparation to the Precious Blood. That is probably one reason why It has been taken from us. Also, the Holy Eucharist. There have been too many sacrilegious Communions. People don’t know they must be in a state of grace as defined by the Church and also must not eat or drink anything but water for 1 hour before receiving. It is an outrage that this is not made very clear when attending Mass, whether it is Sunday Mass, a wedding or a funeral, etc. God is now losing His patience, I believe. Also, one should dress modestly when receiving, and always, of course. In most parishes, none of this is enforced. That must change.

In case you are unfamiliar with the “Catholic Months,” here is a good explanation from Aquinas & More:

“Each month of the year is dedicated to a particular devotion within the Catholic faith; the dedication of each month is based on historical events or a particular aspect of the liturgical calendar, or a combination of the two. These monthly Catholic devotions do not line up exactly with the time frame of the liturgical calendar, since they are fixed to standard calendar months rather than the Church seasons. Some countries and areas have developed monthly dedications to devotions more specific to their area…”
