Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Jesus is our Way our Truth and our Life --He ALWAYS speaks God’s Truth – even when it is hard for us to hear and sometimes hard to understand. such is His Word to us today:

Gospel
Jesus said to His apostles:
“Whoever loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me,
and whoever loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me;
and whoever does not take up his cross
and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.
Whoever finds his life will lose it,
and whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.

"Whoever receives you receives Me,
and whoever receives Me receives the one who sent Me.
Whoever receives a prophet because he is a prophet
will receive a prophet’s reward,
and whoever receives a righteous man
because he is a righteous man
will receive a righteous man’s reward.
And whoever gives only a cup of cold water
to one of these little ones to drink
because the little one is a disciple—
amen, I say to you, he will surely not lose his reward.” (Mt 10:37-42)
May the Holy Spirit, given to the Church at Pentecost bring us into all Truth as Jesus promised, (cf John 16:13) that we may hear with the ears of our hearts and do the Truth we hear.

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your Faithful, kindle in us the Fire of Your Love. Mary, Mother of the Church pray with us and for us. Jesus we trust in You!

“O Jesus, living in Mary, come and live in Your servants, in the spirit of Your holiness, in the fullness of Your power, in the perfection of Your ways, in the truth of Your virtues, in the communion of Your mysteries. Rule over every adverse power, in Your Spirit, for the glory of the Father. Amen.” (Prayer of Fr. Olier)

Dear DeSalles, and Gio,

Thank you both for your “hearts” and your love for God’s Word. How often I think of St. John of the Cross’ writng that God spoke One Word and His Name is Jesus! It is no wonder that Mary of Bethany sat at the feet of Jesus listening to Him while her sister was so busy about many things! No wonder Jesus told Mary’s sister Martha:
“…"Martha, Martha, you are anxious and worried about many things. There is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part and it will not be taken from her.” (Luke 10: 41-42)
To Martha’s credit she did listen and begin to seek the one thing necessary and she grew in holiness, becoming Saint Martha! The world is very busy about many things these days and the Church herself sometimes seems to be busy about many things — but how many are seriously listening to Jesus and paying attention to what He is saying?

Thank you both, again, for your “hearts” which indicate to me and to others you are paying attention to Jesus. Please let us pray for one another, for the Church, and all those in need of God’s Mercy.

Dear Stephie,

Thanks again for your Faith-Full and Loving “heart” ever ready to listen to God’s Word through Mary our Mother! I firmly believe that the final battle for eauch one of us is an interior battle against our own disordered self-love!

How grateful I am for God’s grace coming to me as a teen-ager prompting me to learn more about Jesus through Mary in Consecrating myself totally by following the wisdom He gave to St. Louis de Montfort. I continue to marvel at God’s work through the saints He inspires. The 33 day preparation St. Louis encourages for Total Consecration, begins with spending at least 12 days in emptying themselves of the spirit of the world, which is opposed to the spirit of Jesus,

Today so many are looking to “compromise” with the world and are tending therefore to leave the narrow road that leads to Life and go full-steam ahead on the broad way that leads to perdition. God help us to keep praying as Mary has asked us to pray – and to pray with attention and devotion – pondering the mysteries of Jesus’ Life with Mary in our daily Rosaries. Let us pray as she taught the children at Fatima to include after each decade:

“O my Jesus, forgive us and save us from the fires of hell, Draw all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of God’s Mercy.”

Thanks again, Stephie for your continuing love for Jesus through Mary!
