Just found out friend’s baby will be aborted

Not really a friend Friend but one of my classmates in elementary school and her boyfriend ( which happens to be my best friend’s cousin) decided to abort their baby girl.
The mother is five months pregnant and is experiencing complications, she is losing the amniotic fluid and doctors told her that there is a very high possibility the baby will be born with problems/ there will be problems later in the pregnancy. Mother’s health from what I know is not at risk.
They were offered the possibility to try a therapy in order to try to re establish the right amount of amniotic fluid and they were set to try with this therapy but decided to terminate.
I’m very sad about it , the baby is five months, will the baby feel pain? And also, what prayers can be said for her soul? Will she go to heaven? I know once there was the limbo but now it’s been abolished so is it safe to think this little soul will be in heaven?
Also, I suggested the possibility of putting the baby up for adoption and my best friend responded me “ this what people who don’t want their kids do”. I’m sorry? So people who do wants their babies abort them instead of considering the possibility of adoption?
