Justice is a process, not an outcome regardless of what any insane sreet mob or opportunist lawyer demagogue or know nothing cable news talking head might be screaming. Just because you don’t get the verdict you want doesn’t mean it’s unjust.

The case seems to have been a really bad coincidence that could have been avoided if the planning was better.

This is why no knock warrants are bad (although according to one witness the police did announce themselves, neither Walker or Taylor were able to hear them say this). It was just a horrible tragedy that resulted from misunderstandings on both sides (the police believing drugs were being sold from the apartment, and Walker thinking random people were breaking into his apartment), it is not the result of racism or prejudice. There was no murder here, just a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I believe that video shows the boyfriend at her apartment while she’s at work, with people known to be involved with drugs coming and going. If her boyfriend had not been known to be involved with drugs, and if he and his drug buddies had not been filmed there, the police would have been knocking at a different apartment.

People who want only squeaky-clean incidents occurring in their lives should live only squeaky-clean lives.
