Does anyone know of a good Catholic book that replies to the general thesis of *The Bondage of the Will *by Martin Luther?

I would really appreciate your help. Thank you!

Do you mean someone who wrote a direct refutation of Luther’s book or someone who just refutes the general idea of salvation by faith alone?

Either one would do (or both).

In either case, however, it should at least touch on Luther’s general arguments.
The Epistle of St. James? 😛
Thank you, at least that’s a start!

But I want something other than just a reference to the Bible itself.

The Bible.
Thank you.

Obviously, though, I would like you to be more specific.

That’s a very vague response, don’t you think? The Bible is huge!

But I really want another reference than just the Bible.

Jesus said himself about the need for works in order to achieve salvation by saying “Whatever you do to the least of my brothers, you do to me” and also saying that those who did such deeds would be on His right side (Heaven) and those who didn’t would be on his left side (Hell). BOOM- this refutes any Protestant’s disgusting beliefs.
