I so remember this booklet. It was the issue of the trinity that got me to join the Jehovah’s Wittnesses. I could not see the trinity in the Bible. In fact, even when I got out of the Org I have had serious problems with the trinity which might be why Mormon’s appealed as they believe in a distorted trinity. It took me a long time to even recite the Nicine creed because I felt hypocritical. Now as a Catholic wanna-be, I have learned to let go and let God. I still don’t really understand it, but do I really have to, to have faith?

The Father is called God ( 2 Peter 1:17)

The Son is called God (John 1:1 - 5, John 1:9 - 14)

The Holy Spirit is called God (Acts 5:1 - 4)

But we are told there is only one God ( Isaiah 43:10)

Somehow the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are that one God. Scripture doesn’t explain hos God does it, only that He does. If we could fully understand God, we would be God (To paraphrase Walter Martin).

No, you don’t.
For one, since it is God we’re talking about, you can’t, with your finite mind, understand it.
Faith is not knowing all the answers, but trusting where the answers are to be found.

They say Jesus wasn’t resurrected bodily. But Jesus said, “Tear down this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” (speaking about his body)

The disciples didn’t recognise him, not because he was in a new body, but because their eyes were kept from recognising him.

Jesus ate fish and honey after the resurrection, proving he was raised physically.

JWs teach Jesus manufactured a fake body, complete with fake nail holes, so the disciples would recognise him.

Jesus even told them, “It is I. A spirit has not a body of flesh and bones, as you see that I have.”

JWs want God to be simple and understandable to the human mind. So they have created a false image of God and worship that.
