But you have to realize how much changed AFTER the Resurrection. Jesus was NO LONGER in His servant role. During His servant role He wanted to keep attention off of Himself until His work was finished.

What St Stephen did was in no way unBiblical if you understand the doctrine of the Trinity, if not then to ask a creature to receive your spirit is simply blasphemous.

I agree with everything you said. I would also say that the Acts of the Apostles shows how the first generation of Christians received and lived the teaching of Jesus as inspired by the Holy Spirit. Clearly Stephen, and Luke who wrote the account, understood Jesus’ teachings in such a way as to indicate that Stephen’s words and actions were according to those teachings, and the Spirit. If you accept the Acts of the Apostles as Scripture, then you have to accept them as conveying the same Word.
