I am aware that this diocese is viewed as a bit more conservative; I’m also aware of Bishop Finn.

There is a certain parish in the diocese that I have heard described by a few people as “a bit more progressive”, etc. Looking at their bulletin however, they seem to be properly rooted in the pro-life cause, the Eucharist seems to be promoted and discussed, etc.

My question is this: when folks say that they are a bit more progressive, does this mean that by COMPARISON they are a bit more progressive than the rest of the diocese, since the rest of the diocese is rather conservative, which actually would make them “middle of the road?”

Can anyone from this diocese venture a guess of which parish I’m talking about (via PM, not reply post)? Are there ANY parishes in this diocese that are “very left” (i.e., saying “In the name of the Creator, the Redeemer, and the Sanctifier”, et al?)

Are people simply saying this parish is a bit more social justice oriented and perhaps some of the parishioners are a bit left of center as opposed to it being parish policy?

Any insights from folks in this diocese are appreciated.

I think the previous bishop was pretty liberal. I’m sure there’s probably leftover stuff from him
