Are you able to make your week revolve around mass on Saturday evening /Sunday?

I currently go to Mass every day (unless some major problem, like illness or an ice storm or someone dropping dead, gets in my way) so Saturday and Sunday are just two more days to get to Mass in a week.

Rather easier to get there on Saturday evening/ Sunday because there are lots more Masses than on weekdays so I am less likely to need to drive some long distance.

What do you mean?

I do other things all week long that edify such as LOTH, bible study, other kinds of religious ed (not the kid stuff).

By Wednesday, my work week gets thankless.
I think of Mass - on the upcoming Saturday.
Then they ask me, in a certain tone, to work on Saturday.
I stand my ground. They try to push emotion buttons.
By the time Friday shows up…
it literally feels as if my last mass was TWO weeks ago, not one.
The power of a mass cleanses me.
Yes. The thought of getting to mass is part of my intense focus during the week.

I remember my father saying once that we should make mass the focus of our week ,work everyday things around mass not try and squeeze mass in around everything else.It should be the absolute priority.

I think I understand 🙂 Some years back my son was playing cricket, there was a lot of pressure for us to attend on a Sunday the day we normally went to mass. They had enough players and we agreed to play the odd Sunday, but had to stand our ground on the other Sunday’s .
