Keeping Track of Prayer Intentions

I know it’s not a Byzantine tradition, but I do like Adoration.

I have intentions of my own that I take before the Blessed Sacrament, but I never seem to remember all those for whom I have promised I’d pray. Does anyone have this problem? Maybe it’s forgetfulness on my part, but I would like to be better about it.

Any tips?

I’m a computer geek (privately and for part of my job, lol) so I use a spreadsheet that I named my “prayer intentions list”. I add everything to it, daily intentions, special things, for specific people’s healing, my novena intentions, my rosary intentions, etc. etc.

Then when I say my morning offering, rosary, novena, etc. I just say “for all the intentions on my prayer intentions list”.

It’s probably overboard, but I would certainly forget things if I didn’t keep track of them.

I also have a line on my list that says “for all those who have asked for my prayers, I said I would pray for, I should pray for, and for all those who have no one to pray for them”. I don’t remember what website or prayer book I found that in but I really liked it and used it.
 
I write all prayer intentions in a notebook (Moleskine, but that’s just a preference). When I go to Adoration, I bring the notebook with me and place my hand on it as I pray. This simple approach works best for me. 🙂
 
Yes, what up up said. They sell those cute little pads of paper that snap **** now…I write them there. Fits easily I ky purse. Like 3 by 4 size pad.
A small wire bound book works too.
