Would to use of a kegel exercise device to strengthen pelvic muscles as a means of reducing urinary incontinence be morally permissible. A moral problem may exist since it usual also increase sexual sensitivity.
Thank you,
Montana

I can’t see any problems with kegel excercise as a treatment for urinary incontinence. And I can’t see any problems with the side effect of increasing the sexual sensitivity. Of course, we are only supposed to be sexual active with our spouses.

I don’t see a moral issue there at all. Kegal exercise is great for your body in a lot of ways. I did them when I was pregnant to speed up delivery and it worked! I pushed my girl out in 20 minutes!

I think your question isn’t about kegel excercises, but the use of a device to assist those excercises. Am I correct? If so, I have not heard of anything like that…maybe you can explain it.

If you have prostate cancer surgery, as I did, the first thing the doctors tell is to do the kegel excercises ot help with incontinence. I don’t think there is anything wrong with that.

Yes, there are devices that can be used to to measure the strength of the muscular activity.

I don’t see anything immoral in the use of valid medical treatment. It’s like wondering about the morality of the midwife/ob nurse/doctor checking dialation during labor, or the use of intra-vaginal ultrasound probes for medical diagnosis.
