=/ Hi everyone. Im new to this site, came across this site jesusneverexisted.com by accident today…Its so much to take in I realy feel like all evidence has been completely debunked by this guy the way he talks about…I dont know everyone. Has he ever been debunked? Is he just some Pseudo Scholar with a little too much time and money? I realy dont know everyone all i know is Ive always questioned everything in life. that inclused my faith… but man… I realy dont know what to beleive after reading that… And ive read all kind of crazy stuff. Any defenders? Can anyone help me? I dont know I just… I dont realy have much to say. Im confused like crazy… Sucks to have this “I dont even know who jesus is” Mentallity especially around christmas… www.jesusneverexisted.com is the site… One that currently has me in a mindscrew…Help?:confused:

I didn’t have to click on the link to know that he’s apparently an idiot. I hope that helps.
 
It’s propaganda. The first thing I saw on the site was a picture of an ape-man which he called Jesus and by scrolling down I saw him grossly exaggerating the “bad morals” in the Bible (they’re really all justified by some means). He doesn’t give his credentials too, which is a major red flag IMO.

Could you give me some points he makes you find convincing?
 
That site does nothing more than regurgitate the same tired old arguments from the small subset of people who claim Jesus never existed. Most secular scholars agree that there is a historic person by the name of “Yeshua” (Jesus). The real debate is only centered on whether he was just a guy, or actually the Son of God.
 
Hey friends thanks for the replys! Well he has something about tacticus and how Christians may have forgered his writings or he said that Bethlehem didn’t exist till way later and things that there were a bunch of Yeshuas I’m that time that did different thugs that people thought was one… It’s also the fact that he has so manylinksso many articles it’s so much to take in and observe… What do you all think? You all seem to be a bit more knowledgeable than me on the subject it appears

Most Scholars agree the passage is authentic, and used a valid, though possibly biased, source. He directly agrees with the Canon Gospels on the existence, trial and crucifixion. Even though he calls him “Christ”, he was just calling him that because that’s what the local Christians referred to him as.

Major exaggeration of some “facts”. Two Gospels refer to a Bethlehem of Judea. There isn’t any archeological evidence for a Bethlehem OF JUDEA, but this doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist, remember. HOWEVER, there is another Bethlehem, Bethlehem of Galilee, at the time. There is archeological and traditional evidence for its existence. Jesus may have been born there, and if he were it wouldn’t pose a major problem to those 2 Gospels’ accounts.

There were multiple people name Yeshua, but only Jesus did that many good things. He was a real, single person, not a mix of earlier people. Josephus and others confirm this, as do archeology and Gospel Scholarship.

His points have been crushed time and again by Scholars who are both skeptic and Christian, but I’m happy to talk about any more or check out any articles on request.
 
Humphreys debated Christian apologist Gary Habermas on the resurrection of Jesus a few years ago. garyhabermas.com/audio/audio.htm. Scroll half way down the page and you can access it.

Humpheys also debated J.P. Holding of tektonics.org on the topic of Jesus’ existence youtube.com/watch?v=0Flvr4ITKGI&feature=related Humphreys lost both debates (in my opinion) and really can’t be taken seriously.

Once again, since I am in a masochistic mood, and also since I was asked, we now have a look at another one of those wacky Christ-mythers, this time one Kenneth Humphreys, owner of “jesusneverexisted.com”. No, there’s nothing new here; all we really have is a lot of yelling and screaming of outdated, irrelevant, and just plain stupid arguments; so we’ll pick three areas to work over to show just how incompetent Humphrey Dumpty is and how little attention he needs…

Stay away from site such as these. I would not even give him the credit need to be a pseudo scholar he is a liar.
 
Wow everyone thanks so much for the support and information! It’s just so much to take in that it is so overwelming! And with people overexagerating and lying it’s hard to know what is right or wrong at times no what I mean? I Has to actually look through this site when I found it by accident because I feel that… I have too, I just domt wanna leave any stones unturned but it looks like you all really taught me some lessons here! I Dont get it, either online these days you have these “bible has been debunked a million times” people or you have these “Armagaedon!” enthusiast who seem helbent on doomsday you can never find neutral people that aren’t trying to constentally put you down for no reason. I don’t know why people do this ****. But it’s good to see that there are some helpfully people here that aren’t pschycos. Thanks alot. I can message some of you if I have questions?
