I have recently found a book titled ’ the key of heaven’ with the nihil obstacles of guliemus canonical s.t.d and imprimatur of p.fenton. Does anyone know the age of this book or weather it can be used in TLM. Thanks in advance.

My Key to Heaven book has an Imprimatur dated 1963. I love it. What do you mean by TLM ?? God Bless, Memaw

If you google the bishop’s name, you might get at least a range of dates.

Why would anything from the book be included in the Tridentine Mass? What kind of book is it?

It’s a book of prayers and novenas. I’ve got a modern abridged version so there might be more in a full one.

Yea. My book as prayers etc but also the order of Latin mass. But I don’t know if this version is correct, are there any differences between the missal that let you see if it’s a legal translation?

The imprimatur on mine is “1947-1953.” And it’s not a case of not being correct, there were changes made in the Mass between Key Of Heaven’s first printing (1947) and 1962. Plus there are copies of Key of Heaven from earlier than 1947, with a different editor from the 1947 version. Every so often they’d print a new edition with any necessary updates.

Watch this video. Below are 3 beliefs that go totally against what the bible teaches.
  • They Believe you can confess your sins to a priest who can forgive you
  • The Roman catholic church idolizes Mary, and many of the other saints
  • They Believe in purgatory, despite it being mentioned NO WHERE in the bible.
Jesus Christ is the only one who can forgive you of your sins, no man has the power to for-give you

It says in the bible over and over again you shall have no idols before the lord your god. Did Mary die on the cross for our sins? did any saint die on the cross for our sins?

Jesus says in his own word numerous times that Hell is eternal, and that heaven is eternal also.

Please read the description of the video no how to be saved. Don’t take my word for it read what the KJV Bible actually teaches.

I was going to unsub from this thread, but this might prove educational - or entertaining.

Oh dear not this again…
  1. How is this relevant to the current conversation?
  2. These arguments are flawed anyway but this is not the place to discuss this, find the other religions forum to talk about that.
  3. Your use of the word ’ entertaining’ leads my to belive your are baiting a reaction not relevant to my original post.

Are you addressing me me with all 3 of your points? If so, you’ve made an error. I did not write the anti-Catholic post, someone named Speak the Truth did - and that’s not me. Whoever he/she is, he/she seems to have done a runner.

And apologetics can be very entertaining - just listen to a few debates.

But this is not the place to post this. We were talking about a book. Not arguing.

Speaking of the book, it appears that it is still published in updated versions. Try contacting the publisher to see when yours was published.

as you said yourself, the truth guy has gone. It still does not justify you posting his quote completely out of context of what we are doing.
