Kids say things about Angels

This was from a “Senior” newsletter my neighbor got me a subscription for. Yes, its Catholic too.

They said:

I only know the names of two angels.
Hark and Harold.- Gregory, 5

It’s not easy to become an angel! First, you die. Then you go to heaven; then there is still the flight training to go through. And then you got to agree to wear those angel clothes. Matthew, 9

What I dont get about angels is why, when someone is in love, they shoot arrows at them. Sarah, 7

My angel is my grandma who died last year. She got a big head start on helping me while she was still down here on earth. Katelynn, 9

Angels live in cloud houses made by God and his son, who’s a very good carpenter. Jared, 8

All angels are girls because they gotta wear dresses, and boys didn’t go for it.

Awwwww how sweet!!! I remember talking to my kids about angels and God. They had similar answers. Especially our son Francis, whose twin died just before birth. He used to tell everyone about his special guardian angel, his twin sister. It was really sweet to hear him have conversations with her when he was two or three years old.

My Grandmother told my Mother that the thunder was the angels bowling with Jesus - and then forgot to correct herself years later.

She got a call from the school one day saying my mother had gotten into a verbal argument with the teacher over this ‘fact’, because “my mother TOLD me so and my mother DOESN’T lie!”

heeheeheee… that little boy is 6’ and 210# now (he is 17 yo) and at the moment has a concussion and a cervical strain from diving out of a paddle boat in a lake…into 3’ of water! I think his guardian angel is working overtime between his broken ankle/ ankle surgery and now this… He still brings up his twin sister on occasion. Of all my kids he is the most tender hearted. He used to annoy me by acting silly all the time until I yelled at him and asked him why and he said he just wanted to make me happy again. I felt about 1" tall…
