I have read every single book in this series by Bill O’Reilly and Martin Duggard, EXCEPT for Killing
Japan.
I have enjoyed each book. This book, Killing England has especially been interesting as I have been wanting to learn more about the Revolutionary War. The one thing this book made me realize is that it really was a miracle we won, and the victory could easily have gone the other way.
The French coming to our aid was a big advantage. A French military leader Marquis LA Fayette and a Prussian leader (I hope I remember correctly) von Steuben greatly helped also.
Benedict Arnold was a real traitor and I was surprised he was never captured, but escaped to England. My history of the Revolutionary War is very rusty.
Has anyone else read the book and would you care to share your thoughts?
The colonists fought very hard and sacrificed so much. For these common people with no military training to go up against the British troops and eventually win is a testament to how our great country started and we shouldn’t forget these early colonial heroes.
I would recommend this book to any history buffs of colonial America.
