Hmmm - curious. There is no ‘Lewes, Suffolk’. Lewes is in East Sussex. I hope the rest of the information is more accurate.

+Like so many village/town/city names . . . there is evidently more than one Lewes in England . . . according to the web . . . (link below) . . . there is a Lewes, Suffolk . . . the home of Anne of Cleves . . . the annulled wife of King Henry the 8th . . .* who outlived both King Henry and all his wives *. . . was made into a museum in Lewes, Suffolk.

One of her homes was made into the Lewes Folk Museum. It was located in Lewes (in Southover) Suffolk, England.

Try putting ‘Lewes, Suffolk’ into the route-planning service of the A.A. our largest motoring organisation. ‘No matches found’.

Conclusion. There is not ‘Lewes,Suffolk’. There is, of course, Lewes, East Sussex, near where I grew up. (Did you see that I actually live in England, by the way?’)

It’s a small point, but if a site can’t get even a small point correct, it undermines the whole.

Well, the main body of the article says:

Early life

Challoner was born in the Protestant town of Lewes, Sussex, England on September 29, 1691. His father, also Richard Challoner, was married by licence granted on January 17, 1690/1 to his wife Grace Willard at Ringmer, Sussex on February 10.

So it at least gets that correct. Oh, and I corrected the personal details tab just now by changing Suffolk to Sussex (It is, after all, ‘Wikipedia: the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit’ ). Try looking at it again.
