Kneeling at the Consecration?

Does each parish make up its own rules about having to kneel at the Consecration? Or each diocese? Or is there one universal norm followed in the Unites States? Ive been to parishes where all kneel, or all stand, or some kneel and some stand. And all these parishes are in one diocese…

All kneel during the consecration. This is universal law throughout the Roman Rite. The US bishops have mandated that the period of kneeling be throughout the entirety of the Canon, from the Sanctus to the Doxology. Any exceptions to this, besides reasonable accommodations due to physical infirmity, lack of space in the church, etc., must be approved in Rome. Even the bishop has no power to exempt here.

That seems a bit dramatic.

I’m all for correct liturgical posture, but what has failed? Jesus is still present in the Eucharist. The people are still able to receiv him.

Perhaps, but im willing to bet both the pastors and even the Bishops are already aware of it.
