Kneeling on Sunday - 1st Nicaea

Hello can anyone explain why we as Roman Catholics kneel when the Council at Nicaea in Canon 19 states: “Since there are some who kneel on Sunday and during the season of Pentecost this holy Synod decrees, that so that the same observances maybe maintained in every diocese, one should offer ones prayers to The Lord standing.”

I also Attend a Maronite Parish and on Sundays we never kneel.

Anyone?:confused:

True, but if they said it in an Ecumenical Council shouldn’t it be followed?
