Knights of Columbus has a charity fund at the state level, to help fellow Catholics. I have been twice helped by this fund. They have provided assistance so I could acquire a mobility scooter to enable me to have a means of getting out to places I can’t otherwise walk to, due to being severely mobility impaired. Those wheels are my legs to take me places, but Medicare and Medicaid only provide coverage if you need mobility equipment in your home, not just outside your home. KoC has helped many disabled people with purchases of things they need. They depend on support of their fundraisers to fund their charitable endeavors, so be sure to support your local KoC.
