I do promise that not every sentence is so awkwardly structured – especially in the New Testament.
Also, I completely forgot about the lack of quotation marks. Really sorry about that when recommending it! It completely slipped my mind. :o

I do hope you’re not disappointed with your purchase.

Seriously, I understand that some of it is exquisitely beautiful. The opening lines of Proverbs is sublime and judgement is reserve until Song of Songs is read. 😉

Please don’t tell anyone that I also ordered a Harper Collins compact NRSV.

Where did you get the information that it was bonded? Their website doesn’t use the words bonded or Cabra but only says “beautifully bound in leather”.

I asked Baronius in an email about their leather. I’m not opposed to writing a publisher with questions before I drop $50+ on a book. I don’t have the email anymore, but the gist I remember is originally they were binding their stuff in genuine but were having some quality issues when they started, and switched to Cabra because it held up better.

I also seem to remember reading somewhere that another Bible publishing house (Cambridge?) was using it, and the opinion on their bonded leather was so good it might actually outlast the real thing.
