Koran readings in Catholic Church?

I know that it is popular for some to dismiss, challenge or ignore the catechism of the Catholic Church, as seen in CCC 841.
 
neither do i favour rituals or readings of other faiths in Catholic churches. Islam is NOT worshipping the Trinitarian GOD. However, through the actions of a church leader kissing the Quran and other text messages, it has diluted Catholicism. Seminarians are being taught that ISLAM worship Yahwah and ALL faiths lead to salvation - this is a product of Vactican II.
 
Reading the holy books of other religions implies that there is nothing wrong with that religion.

What if someone hears a beautifu passage l from the Koran then goes home and does some internet research on the Koran and find more beautiful things. Next thing you know they’re researching Islam, attending a mosque an eventually converting?

I see no reason to read from he Koran, the Bhagavad Gītā from Hinduism or any other passages considered holy scripture by the religions’ practitioners.
 
Even if there is nothing wrong with the specific passage from which they read, I think the real issue is that they are reading from it at all. The plain truth is that islam is a false religion. Reading from the Koran gives the impression that there’s nothing wrong with islam. Scandalous. Catholics are Catholics. If you want to hear catholic teaching and scripture, come to a church. If you want to hear the Koran, go to a Mosque.

We need to stop all this false ecumenisim.

I think this question and the discussion that it has generated shows the lack of understanding among contemporary Catholics about what is right and wrong in the Church. At one time the question wouldn’t have even been posed. No, neither the Koran nor any other texts of any non-Chrisitan faith should be read as part of a Catholic liturgy.
