**Kraft Says It Proudly Supports The Gay Games **
Kraft Inc. is sponsoring the upcoming Gay Games in Chicago. I want to show you what Kraft proudly supports. But before I do that, you need to read what Marc Firestone, Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Kraft Foods Inc., said in refusing to cancel their sponsorship.
“Diversity is more than a word many people like to say. At Kraft we truly respect all kinds of differences. And diversity is not a selective concept. By definition, it’s nothing if not inclusive. We respect diversity of ethnicity, gender, experience, background, personal style and yes, sexual orientation and gender identity. Recognizing, respecting and valuing these differences helps us be a more successful business and a workplace where all employees can realize their full potential.”
The Gay Games can’t get a much stronger commitment than that given by Kraft.
Kraft also owns Maxwell House, Post, Oscar Mayer and Nabisco brands, which account for almost 75% of the company’s revenues.

Harris Bank in Chicago and the CINO mayor, Rich Daley, are also supporting these games.

I will boycott all of these and I wrote a note of protest to Kraft. Since I don’t live in Chicago, but outside of it, a letter to Mr. Daley would probably not do any good but it is hard to stomach the fact that Rich Daley is a “Catholic”. We don’t patronize Harris Bank but neither will I in the future.

No more cheese dip for me. I like salsa anyway.
It’s going to be very hard to get away from using one of their products. They are into everything. Go to the following link to see a list of their brands.

Dan:

Good job.

Could you post Mayor Daley’s e-mail and other contact info and maybe your letter to him? Please. Thanks.

I find it useful that, if one person has information like what you found to post it, it reduces th amount of redundant effort and allows people to stay on the board and work together more.

The reason to post letters is that each of us may think of different arguments, and some may think of nothing at all. and, Believe it or not, the office staff doesn’t go out and pick the 4 or 5 that are like yours or mine on any given issue.

Just post whatever you have in your response to this, and it’ll help a lot of people here get started.

Thanks.

You might have to go for some healthfood provider like Erewon, or go to Trader Joe’s if you can find them in your city. And, Someone must own KELLOGG’S!

And, Remember, there are the store brands for almost everything.

The list of Brands owned by Kraft is rather daunting, though. I really wish we had some leadership from the Bishops.

It would be a LOT easier if they entered the fray and used the tools Our Lord gave to them. This is denfinitely not a case where a few bishops (the the Pope) would say something and would be met with either hostility or stony silence.

I can tell the people here would support them and get others to do that, if only the Bishops would take up their “Croziure” (Sp?) and lead!

It’s too late for me to do this, but but this is all the information on the Archdiocese of Chicago that I could find. Those who have the time and the phone access will want to call Cardinal George and ask him about Mayor Daily and his misuse of the Church’s Trademarked Name:

It seems that NO ONE is responsible for dealing with things like Gay Marraige and the whole Gay Agenda, and I couldn’t find an e-mail to Cardinal George. I don’t get this - I have Pope Benedict XVI’s e-mail address, as does anybody willing to spend 2 min. on the Vatican Website. Why can’t Cardinal George follow the Pope’s example?

Goodnight.

Brothers and Sisters:

I’ve noticed a lot of enthusiasm lately for Boycotts. Boycotts have their place and can be usefull, if they’re targetted at Companies that have really done wrong, where consumers have some alternatives to that Corporation’s items in the marketplace, where the companies selling alternative products aren’t doing the immorality, and where the people doing the Boycott are focused about the reason for and the goals of the Boycott.

I don’t know if we have that with Kraft. As bad as the Gay Assault has been on marraige, that’s not what our country’s under judgment for. Our country is under judgment for the wanton slaughter of some 46 million pre-born babies since ROE V. WADE.

I can’t even conceptualize the number - It’s that large. But, it’s the killing of one person, the Icon of God, 46 million times that’s forcing God’s judgment on us.

I would ask that we concentrate our POLITICAL efforts on that. The situation with the University of Western Ontario that Ani Ibi has been reporting on hasn’t been resolved. As of this moment, Catholic Students will either have to join in honoring the man responsible for legalizing Abortion in Canada, or they will have to miss their graduation. As of now, a Catholic priest will share the stage with him, revceiving the same honor, sending out the most confusing message possible about the possition of the Catholic church on Abortion.

I would ask those of you who think that’s not enugh to look into and begin dealing with the whole mess with Catholics For a Free Choice and convincing the Archbishop of Washington that that organization has had enough “Charity” and that it’s time for the “Tough Love” of excommunication.

And, if those two projects till aren’t enough, begin to organize the Boycott of FORD and the Ford Family of Cars for their support of Abortion on Demand in this country, Forced Abortions in other countries and of the Gay Agenda.

I belive that should be more than enough to keep anyone busy.

Please help Ani with the Campaign against honoring the Chief Abortionist of Canada and help us in dealing with the abomination of Catholics For a Free Choice.

Thank you.

Blessed are they who act to save God’s Little Ones. Michael

It would be very difficult to boycott Kraft, yet if we could find out what their top five products are, we could boycott those, thereby sending them a strong message and perhaps hurting their bottom line.

How can we determine what their best selling products are?

I think that this is a really good idea. I read down through the list…I am happy to say that I have very little of their merchandise in my pantry. (Largely because I buy store brands for the most part).
I have done my share of grocery store boycotts in my day.(One reason for all the generics & store brands: years of looking for substitutes to name brands…)It is always best to target the best sellers, that is where big companies feel the pressure.
The easiest way to do this is through the generics. You can use them to increase the effectiveness of your actions against the company’s big money makers…

I read this story when I got the American Familiy Association email. They give a link to photos from this event and all I can say is sick! It looks just like a bunch of guys, shirts off, bumping and grinding! :bigyikes:

I voted “yes,” because I have often redirected purchases away from companies that I don’t like.

That said, I doubt a boycott against Kraft would be useful. I don’t think a boycott would have a measureable effect. Even if the effect is significant, it will be weighed against politics and lawyers, not morality, because these are what a company responds to. I don’t think companies with morals have been in vogue since Walt Disney died. (Maybe before then, too)

Luckily, I buy a lot of generic or discount store brands of many of these products. Of course, some of them are probably the same products made in the same factories, labeled for a different market segment. Name brands place a lot of $$ value for their name so if a boycott is ineffective at gaining enough stir to counteract the gay forces, at least we can show that we’re Not Impressed with their big brand name.

I voted Other

WIth ALL the issues out there and ALL the companies that support ‘evil’ issues. Is there a DEFINATIVE list of companies to avoid with the mentioning of the issue they support.

Boycotting seems to me difficult because there are SO MANY products to boycott that you tend to forget which ones to support and those NOT to support. That is why I believe boycotts have a minimal result.

I used to work in a factory and we sold the SAME product under many different brands. I am sure even foods are packaged the same way. How do you know that your ‘off brand’ or ‘store brand’ isn’t manufactured and sold by a major coropration but just labeled with your store’s name on it?

the safest way to boycott is to buy a farm, and grow your own food.
