Hi, my name is Anna Ramirez and I came to the catholic church about 4 years ago after a child hood of growing up in an evangelical protestant church. Lately, I have had a lack of passion for God, his word, the church and almost every aspect of the spiritual life. It is on my mind every day to read the Bible and pray and strengthen my relationship with God. I know the importance of it, but I am lazy about doing anything about it. I have a 1 year old little girl, who is the best thing in my life, and I want to raise her to be a godly young woman who is committed to the catholic church. Basically, i just need some advice or encouragement on how to strengthen my relationship with God, so that I have a strong passion for Him.

Dear Anna:

You actually know what to do. What you need is to do what you are supposed to.

Your precious little gile is the best point to get started. When you hold your baby, when you feed her, when you play with her, say a prayer of thanksgiving for the best thing in your life, and say a praye for your little girl, ask for God’s blessing. That is all you need to get started again.

I know how grateful you are for the precious gift of your daughter.
Just tell God your gratitude. That should not be hard.

I know how much you love your daughter, just ask God to protect her, bless her, guard her, guide her, watch over her. That should not be hard.

Do these everyday, as often as you can. Then you are restoring your conversation with God, and before you know it, you are again on your way to God.

God bless!
