I figured I’d go for the widest fourm possible with this especially since it’s only peripherally Catholic related.

I’m watching Ken Burns’ Vietnam since I’m a history guy and loved his Civil War series. The problem is that YT’s player has random words for English subtitles, the audio is almost a full minute ahead of the captions, and by the 2nd part, even the Spanish translation (yo puedo leer como media y Google Translate covers the rest) has become random words. (lol, gato, llave, cerveza). Amazon Prime wants me to pay before I even know if they covered that. Ditto for PBS’s website.

It’s only a problem when the Communists talk in their interviews since the South Vietnamese have been living here 40-some years by the time of their interviews and speak English well.

If anyone knows how to figure out what they’re saying, I’d appreciate some guidance. You obviously can’t understand history unless you know what the other side says. It’d be a lot easier if there were any Vietnamese people where I currently live!
