Laptop won't start up or charge

Please pray that it would work normally. Just last night we were able to use it. It is my dad’s and there are some important installers there which I was planning to copy onto another device. It’s alao pretty new, weeks old. I have already looked online for troubleshooting. Not only it would not turn on, it also doesn’t charge. thanks for the prayers.
 
Did you try holding down the off button and listening with headphones fro a white noise click?

If it’s not charging, it probably ran out of juice … you probably need a new charger.
 
Leave it on the charger for a while, if its drained completely, it may take a bit to start charging. Also, plug it into a wall oulet if you are trying to charge from a usb connected to another computer! And maybe jiggle the battery!
 
Even if it is fairly new the battery may be a dud. The charger may be non-functional. Try a different charger if you have one or can borrow one… Check out the battery. If it is fairly new it probably is still under warrentee. I bought batteries that were made in China that had one new one and one very old one in the package. Ck. the date on the battery. Good luck. Can you get a voltmeter to verify that the charger is working and also if the battery shows any voltage reading?

If the charger is putting out volts, try taking the battery out of the computer and running it off the charger alone.
