Hello all–

Don’t post much but enjoy reading the threads in the forum(s).

Wondering if anyone knows of any good websites or other resources for those with large families-- general help/discussion/advice on finances, parenting, genaral stuff.

We have six and just found out we have another on the way. If there are any good ones, thought someone on the board would know.

Thanks in advance for any (name removed by moderator)ut…

BTW-- don’t want to get into any NFP discussion, but it was very much a surprise, and my wife’s taking in much better than I.

I don’t know of anything off the top of my head but I wanted to say welcome to the forum and congrats!

My favorite is a Magnum Opus yahoo group.

groups.yahoo.com/group/magnum-opus/

**Then there’s these, which are not Catholic, but very Catholic friendly. **

www.quiverful.com

www.momys.com

I prefer the quiverfull site because it’s a greater mix of husbands and wives posting and you don’t get as many digests. The MOMYS is nice to, but VERY active and I tend to weed through the contents and delete, rather than read it all.

HTH and congrats.

Thanks for the replies… I figured there’s not much out there on the web, but any little bit helps.

Actually, there’s a lot out there! I just listed what I feel to be the best. Those links I gave also list other resources on their sites too.

Congratulations!!! As the eldest of seven, I can tell you IT’S A GOOD THING IF YOU CAN HAVE A LOT OF KIDS!!!

I also offer my congrads! 😃 I am the father of seven children. I am not aware of any resources specific to “Large” families. Depending on where you live, you could contact local Catholic homeschool orgs. We homeschool and many of the Catholic homeschooling families have larger families. And share our knowledge and resources, pass on clothing, cars (vans) etc.
May God continue to richly Bless you.
