Who else is excited that we have reached the last week in Ordinary Time and finally begin to start celebrating Advent?

Personally, I have been waiting for Advent since Halloween. Yaya!😃

As an RCIA Candidate, I have no idea what I should or should not be doing during Advent. I understand a different set of prayers is sometimes used:o

Well the main thing I would focus on is that it is mostly about anticipating the birth of our savior. I would just say in your prayer life, add a little focus on anticipating the birth of Christ, and just thinking about that.

Also, if you want a really in depth response that has some traditions, or other things you could do, check this site out:

Good luck in RCIA!

Advent is one my favourite seasons of the year. So rich.

Caution: Silly Newbie Question ahead

So, today in Mass, Father didn’t do his usual singing of “Through Him, In Him, With Him…” as he held the Eucharist up, instead he spoke it.

Did that have to do with being the last week of OT? If so, why is it done like that?

Thanks!

Jess

Well, I have bought a book published by PATMOS that carries all the Sunday Vespers. Tonight was a special page for Christ The King Solemnity. Takes me over ten minutes to do the Vespers every Sunday night, but it is a good way to end the Sabbath and begin winding down

At 7 PM (Pacific Time) I will be leaving for my standard Sunday night AA meeting. 🙂

Not to my knowledge. However, I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong:p .
