Hello folks, I was just curious if anybody knew about a Latin psalter with chant that can be used for the Liturgiam Horarum or 1961 Breviarium Romanum. Thank you and God bless.

I see, is there a separate edition for both the newer and older Breviary?

Sorry, I missed that you listed both. The Liber Usualis contains both the Masses and Breviary but is pre-Conciliar. There is no post-Conciliar equivalent; I imagine the chants could be culled from the Liber with some effort, but the Graduale Romanum is only for Mass. I don’t think anyone has ever yet published all the chants for the modern Hours in one place.I see, is there a separate edition for both the newer and older Breviary?

For the new breviary: Les Heures Gregoriennes, Latin/French, with all hymns, antiphons and responsories in Latin in Gregorian notation. It includes all the day hours (Lauds, mid-day prayer, complementary psalter for Terce, Sext and None, and Compline). Wonderful piece of work, in three volumes, and particularly well organized. Vol. I covers Advent, Crristmas and Ordinary Time, Vol II Lent and Eastertide, and Vol III the sanctoral.
Antiphonale Romanum II is also available from Solesmes. Latin only, all in Gregorian notation, with the psalms also pointed (Les Heures requires that you know the melodic changes and accent rules by heart). It covers Vespers only for all Sundays, solemnities and feasts of the year.
Lastly from Solesmes, Psalterium Monasticum, Antiphonale Monasticum and Liber Hymnarius. The first two are for the current monastic LOTH, the advantage is that there are antiphons for all the psalms, so you could also chant the psalms of the Office of Readings.
I have all of them but I use Les Heures Gregoriennes. I do the Office o Readings recto-tono usually, but sometimes chant using the Psalterium.
