The Latin Mass was never forbidden. It is the Modernists who have convinced everyone else that it was forbidden. It should be honored and we have a right to assist and participate in the most beautiful thing this side of heaven! We must pray for the Modernists to see the error of their ways. Since Vatican II and all of it’s misinterpretations, the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is no more. They have desecrated it and made a mockery of it. May the Lord have mercy on us!
 
The Latin Mass was before my time . I joined the Catholic Church around 1973. However a lot of the Vatican 2 ers would have us believe it is forbidden. I wonder how many of our NEW priests could even say the Latin Mass. Our Diocese does hav a latin Mass sometimes but it is offered about 200 miles from us.

To say that the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is no more is to show a good deal of ignorance about what constitutes the Mass, and the history of the Mass in all its rubrical forms through the ages and through the various rites of the Catholic Church.

Further, I would suspect that you cannot give a definition of Modernist or Modernism. It is worthy to pray for Modernists, but most Modernists have long ago gone to their reward, whatever that may be in God’s mercy and justice.

So, then, are there any other non-latin parts of latin masses that I am unaware of?

My choir teacher gave us a lesson in Latin pronunciation so the soloists would sing the kyrie correctly. I didn’t have the heart to tell her otherwise.

Well, Amen is Hebrew. And the Homily tends to be in the Vernacular. But I think that’s it.
