Latin Masses in Alabama

I noticed that Alabama is one of a few states that does not have a FSSP , SSPX, ICK Church. Una voce has a few chapters there and they are Latin Masses. I wonder if there is growth there or if an FSSP chapel might get there in the future.

I am interested in how popular the Latin Mass is in the South. it is the country’s Protestant stronghold. Is it growing or not? Especially in Alabama.

There is a Tridentine-rite congregationalist conventicle meeting in Birmingham beholden to NO bishop at all. That’s why I call it congregationalist.

From time to time the Extraordinary Form is celebrated at the Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament in Hanceville.

Una Voce is sponsoring EF Masses in Birmingham and elsewhere.

And the Mass at Our Lady of the Angels in Irondale is celebrated largely in Latin, though it’s in the Ordinary Form.

As of last January, one parish near Mobile, St. Bridget’s, offered the EF once a month, on the first Sunday. Two other parishes in other parts of the state are listed, as well:
