Is the Vulgate still available? My latin is pretty poor but I cant think of a better way to practice. Anyone have any ideas about who might still publish ?
Actualy, this is a CD which, according to the authors, contains every sacred text from every conceivable belief system ever published. As a resource, it’s wonderful (I own it myself and recommend it). However, to get the paper & ink version, try Amazon.com: amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-form/104-8565048-9369550.check sacred-texts.com - it’s published there (under Christianity).
I’ve seen bilingual Latin-German, Latin-Spanish, and Latin-French editions of the Vulgate, but never a bilingual Latin-English though I’ve often wished I could find one. But there are Latin-English editions of the Psalms. Here are details of a very good one:Thanks for the quick responses. It will be a challanging but interesting read. I remember in university finding a copy of Augustines Confessions that was in latin on one page english on the other. I think i learned more latin reading that then I did that semester. Thanks again
