A friend told me a story of how there was a dove in front of his house once when it was raining. So his dad put a box over it to protect it from the rain since it wasn’t moving.
He then said that (maybe it was in the morning?) they found the dove had been attacked or something by an animal.

He also mentioned a few gross details.

I started to laugh because I found it funny. (not sure if it was from the will)

and when I remembered the story this morning I laughed a little too. (maybe without full knowledge or consent)

Did I sin?
Was it wrong to laugh to begin with?

Sometimes things just strike us as funny. 🤷 It’s an emotional response, and on occasion it’s hard to supress such emotions.

Is it wrong? Is it sinful?

(name removed by moderator)propriate, perhaps, but not sinful.

It is not a sin to have an emotional response.

Even if it is an emotional response we find distasteful.

I would be more concerned with what others may be thinking as you bust out in laughter. In all likelihood they do not share your particularly dark sense of humor.
