Learning Natural Family Planning for free?

Does anyone know how a person can learn Natural Family Planning for free?
 
There is a FABULOUS book called Taking Charge of Your Fertility, by Toni Wechsler. She isn’t Catholic but is aware of NFP (versus “Fertility Awareness” where one might use a barrier method during fertile time) and respectful. Pretty much everything I know about NFP I learned from her book, for free. I’ve never taken a class.

I’ll warn you that if you don’t have a basic biology background, you might need a dictionary handy. She goes in to all sorts of possibilities and details.

Oh, and the book is in my small town library, so it can’t be too rare 🙂 Interlibrary loan could get it. I would suggest actually shelling out for a copy, though. it’s not too expensive and then you have it for reference.

Thanks Evelyn. I am really wanting to learn Natural Family Planning so that way maybe I can get my cycles under control.
 
There is also The Art of Natural Family Planning by John and Sheila Kippley. 🙂 Sheila Kippley has also written books on Catholic motherhood and natural child spacing by means of breastfeeding.
 
I liked the Art of NFP, but I think if person wants to go with just one book, TCOYF is much more detailed and comprehensive. If your library has both, you’re all set 🙂
 
I’ll also take your recommendation, Evelyn. Thanks! Eventually, I’d like to get formal training…I believe they also offer online courses now!

I am also considering taking courses to teach classes myself…but that’s, of course, something I pray about and won’t happen for quite sometime.
