Hi All,

I am looking for possible resources and books to read that would get me started with learning Franciscan theology. I have started reading Frank Sheed’s book Theology for Beginners, but I wonder if it is Augustinian, Dominican or Franciscan in its approach? Does anyone know this or can they point me in the right direction to getting started in this?

You could always go to the writings of some of the great Franciscan theologians: St. Bonaventure, Bl. John Duns Scotus, etc.

I’m not sure if Sheed’s book is “Franciscan” in approach. Of course, ultimately the most important thing is that it is “Catholic” in approach. 😉
