As some of you may know, I applied to seminary, and have been accepted. I enter this Fall. 🎉🎊

If you didn’t know, seminary is very different than a regular college or grad school. Seminaries have very full schedules. Mine is no exception. The days are full of Mass, Liturgy of the Hours, silent prayer, class, recreation, and meals together. There is not much free time during the week, and what little we get is largely taken up by studying.

All that being said, I need time to prepare for this, because it is a big lifestyle change. I especially need to get in the habit of waking up earlier (we must report to the chapel by 6 am), and get back in the habit of praying the Liturgy of the Hours.

Because of that, in addition to the fact that my participation in the CAF has been excessive, I have made the decision that it would be prudent for me to discontinue active participation in the CAF. I still desire to be a part of this great community, but not to the level that I presently am. I will give occasional personal updates, and perhaps occasionally ask or answer questions, but I think that it would be imprudent for me to do much more than that.

Thank you, everyone who has been praying for me; I have been (and will continue to be) praying for you, as well.

I think you are very wise to prepare now for this big change in your life. You will have the prayers of many here at CAF.

How wonderful that you are entering the seminary~! I pray that you persevere. How we need good priests.

Pray for us too. God bless you! Stay close to Our Blessed Mother. Entrust your vocation to Her. Pray the rosary every day.

Best wishes for a easy transition. We will say a prayer for you…

Best wishes for you, I will add you to my prayer list. Do come back and give us an update after you are settled in. God bless you.

Yes, good luck and our prayers go with you! You sound very wise as you prepare to develop more self-discipline in preparation for this huge chain. Congratulations again on being accepted. Pray you find peace in your chosen calling!

If it’s any comfort to you - Seagull’s up at 3 am - Monday through Friday.
Once your body clock gets used to it - you’ll value it.
Sometimes, it’s nice to know -
that your awake - before 80 % of others within a one mile radius - lol
And when you finally go off to bed and fall asleep - ohhhhh it’s so sweet !

I’m not far behind Seagull. I’m up at 4:30/5:00. I keep promising myself I’m going to sleep in one day, but I love getting up in the morning and facing the excitement of a new day. 😍
