Left over Precious Blood

If when receiving the Precious Blood some of it remains in my facial hair, should I do anything specific before washing my face? I tried to use my tongue to get it out as much as I could and now it’s dry.
 
As a preventive measure, you should trim your facial hair so that it doesn’t get dipped into the Precious Blood. Eew!
 
“Left over Precious Blood” is that which remains in the chalice after distribution of Communion. What you’re describing is something else. If one is unable to partake of the Cup without getting the Precious Blood on themselves, then some kind of behavior modification wold seem to be appropriate - does everything you drink leave traces? Are you tipping the chalice back too far?
 
If it’s dried, you’re supposed to take a pair of scissors and cut where the Dried precious blood is, and then burn the hair and wash the ashes down the sacrarium.

No, as likely as that sounds according to other directions, that’s not it.

If it’s already dried, then the Precious Blood would no longer be present. If it was wet, the proper thing to do would be to blot it with a purificator and have the purificator purified properly. Failing that, you could do as they traditionally do with chrism on their fingers and wipe it off with bread and burn the bread and put the ashes down the sacrarium.
 
Thanks for the interesting posts. Consulting with my priest, he told me licking what was left on the corner was sufficient. I used a wet paper towel to get any excess salvia and he said that was probably too much and licking what was left was good. Anyways, thank you guys.
