Hi! I’m just a student who wants to learn more things including faith-related studies. However, I don’t have the financial capability to purchase all materials that I want/need. Is it wrong to read books from lib gen and such? I even downloaded “Ignatius Bible Commentary” on this site and just got curious if this is wrong because the legality is quite complicated. Thanks!

I can neither understand this thread title nor the OP?

What is “lib gen”? What do you mean by "Ignatius Bible Commentary – What is it and why is its legality “complicated”?

Legal does not equal moral, and the ends do not justify the means.
However, I don’t have the financial capability to purchase all materials that I want/need.
You are not unique. There are always more ways to spend money than money.

Yes. Pirate sites are immoral.

It’s not complicate at all. You pirated the book. Delete it.

Borrow the book from an actual library, or save up to purchase it.

Yes, pirate sites are both illegal and immoral.
