Can someone tell how the legion of Mary began? but also where in scripture is this from

Who is she that comes forth as the morning rising, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army set in battle array.

Here is a brief History

As for the scripture part of your question, the quote comes from the Song of Solomon (Song of Songs) Chapter 6 Verse 10…The RSV’s translation is much like the one you quoted. The NAB differs I believe. Hope that helps.
