That is exactly what I meant. There are a total of 9 of us in RCIA. All 9 will be confirmed, but 5 will also be baptised!

Last year it was two hours.

We had about 5-8 being baptized and 10 or so being confirmed.
There was a small reception after.
She probably was just differentiating the Catechumens from the Candidates, meaning a total of 9 would end up being Confirmed. Five of them doing “the whole spiel” and four of them “only” being Confirmed.
That’s what I meant.

A total of 15 - 18 being confirmed.

I am being Baptised and Confirmed at Easter Vigil Mass. There will be 5 adults and 1 child Baptised, and 4 adults Confirmed. How long should I expect the Mass to take? Thanks!
At the Easter Vigil I attended last year there were 20+ Baptisms and probably 30-35 Confirmations Mass was exactly 1 hour 58 minutes long.

I’m guessing they didn’t do all the readings. The readings and Psalms take a lot of time.

You guessed it.

It is very much a “do the absolute least required, if even that, when it comes to the Liturgy” kind of parish.

Oh my goodness! We have 3 in RCIA this year, and I can’t remember if they’re already Baptized or not. Our service will be close to 3 hours long, and that’s a lot of singing in the dark for the choir. I wish we could sing some of the old Latin stuff, because I really like to sing in Latin. And that’s the way it was when I was a kid. But I don’t know who makes the decisions, the liturgy committee or the music director or maybe even the pastor, but somebody doesn’t want the Latin. Sigh. One of these days…

We have a reception, but there are stairs involved and after standing so much already, my knees won’t even consider the stairs.
