Hey all,
Would anyone here happen to know some great games or activities for teaching 1st graders about lent?
So far I have:
-Making caterpillars, then adding wings to turn them into butterflies. [and talking about the symbolism, of course]
-serving homeade pretzels for a snack & talking about that
-and if worse comes to worse, We’ll do some kind of question and answer game, where if you get an answer right something amazing happens. haha.
I kind of want to incorporate some kind of active game, something that involves moving their bodies around a bit. Let some energy out, you know? haha.
Anyone have any suggestions?
