I love the popular saints, but I’ve noticed that there are many saints that have been “forgotten” or perhaps rarely get any recognition. I like to learn of different saints and see what they are all about but there are so many of them and most books on the lives of the saints only contain a small percentage. I didn’t really think of this until attending a large confirmation last year and noticed all of the youth picked their confirmation saints from such a seemingly small batch that there was a very large percentage of reoccurring names.
So, I thought it would be good to share/mention any saints that aren’t very popular or have been “forgotten”.

I’ll start with two I like who are not known well from what I’ve noticed in my experiences mentioning them:
-St. Gemma Galgani (Italian)
catholic-forum.com/saints/saintg04.htm (only a small amount of info)
-Saint Colman MacDuagh (Irish)
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colman_MacDuagh (sorry, it’s the best I could find)
