I know a few physicists, and I will have to ask them next time I see them

Quackery.

Sure, it “might” work but there’ll definitely be unintended damage and consequences.

Undoubtedly, infrastructure will be damaged, people killed, property damage, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera…

Homes and cities can be saved if they create and maintain “Fire Safe Zones”.

Actually, the county FD does inspections in danger areas every year to specific specs. Those out of compliance get cleared by the county and billed.

Overall, I would like to see how effective their efforts have been.

Maybe bombing, I don’t know… but unhappy to see on the news that California is suffering yet enough fire event.
My State was less prone to raging forest fires, as until, this year they tended to occur in southern States, but we already have experienced serious fires in our Spring, so God help us when our long bright summer arrives.

Some regions in Australia have been inundated by rain much of our winter, but here we’ve had a lack of the precious stuff, so steady rain punctuating sleep last night was glorious.
The sky is a glorious vibrant blue again, and the birds are rejoicing after the rain.

The wildfires that occur so often in California and in Australia, for instance, do need better solutions. I have a sister, a brother-in-law and a son who are rural firefighters, like so many generous souls,

but if there is a better solution for fighting wildfires, bring it on!!!
