The other day, I saw an advertisement for Costa Rica, and it got me thinking. Where would y’all go? Where have you been? I went to the Smokies a couple of months ago, so I am just curious what everyone thinks. (I love The Smokies, by the way).

I’m going to the Appalachian mountains soon to see the autumn colors.

It’s pretty up there. (Well, it’s north from where I live)

We kin? My Grandpa’s family went there from Scotland.

I do have some French ancestry on both sides, but, on my dad’s it’s more recent. From my mom (and, said grandfather I referred to) it was from Northern France, and they were Protestants that settled in New York. Genealogy is fun.

I would like to hike in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. I think these are part of the Appalachians.

Not sure, never been in those parts. I know the Smokies are. Appalachians are quite long.

I’ve not been there since I was a child. I want to go to another part.

What I’d like to do is take another train ride in Canada - have gone from Winnipeg to Montreal and also from Vancouver to Jasper. It was great. I’d like to be able to go further east and also up to Churchill.

We spent our honeymoon in th Smokies 37 years ago). Friends “gifted us” their cabin on the side of Mt. Pisgah. Have been back in irs different Seasons; always beautiful.

Most recently, at the start of this COVID concern, we went to Costa Rica for a short vacation. From the beaches to the mountain rainforest it was picturesque.

If I had to stay in the US, the Pacific Northwest. The Columbia River Gorge. Abroad, we are supposed to go to Israel in May.

I’d go to the Antarctic, which is a cruise I have booked but it is looking dicey. It would be the trip of a lifetime for me.

I haven’t been anywhere really since last year.

I want to go to Congaree National Park sometime in the next few weeks (I live in South Carolina, and it’s only a little over an hour away). It’s not mountains, but it is very pretty. You got to watch for floods, though. Congaree National Park South Carolina

Think about not thinking? Okay, … I think.

René Descartes wrote, “I think, therefore I am.”

I’m more like “I think I think. Therefore I think I am, I think.”

I hiked up Mt Monroe a number of years back during the fall months. It was Absolutely Beautiful!
