Hey, let’s all get together for a potluck (or hot dish supper, or covered dish supper, depending on where you live!).

What are you bringing?

I would bring the Midwestern Speciality–7 layer salad:

Layer chopped (or torn) iceberg lettuce on the bottom
Then layer:
Chopped onions
Chopped Green Pepper
One bag frozen peas–do not thaw–spread over lettuce, onion, pepper
Cover with MIRACLE WHIP (not mayo!). Cover it entirely, like frosting a cake.
Sprinkle with shredded cheddar, 2 cups
Right before serving, add the last layer–about half a cup of bacon bits (real are better than Bacos)

YUMMY!

My daughter had a hard time in San Diego, California, finding Miracle Whip in the grocery stores–the clerks didn’t know what it was.

When she finally found it at a store and made the 7 layer salad for a potluck, everyone raved over it and wondered what it was. She told them, “This is typical Midwestern food!”

They loved it!

Sign up for out potluck now and tell us what you’re bringing!

No Miracle Whip! 😱😱😱

Almost as bad as our daughter in law couldn’t find Vegemite in the OK stores.

I would bring fried chicken and mustard
potato salad and dinner rolls and
Chocolate frosted brownies for dessert.

I would bring Nasi goreng (Indonesian fried rice), beef rendang, sate ayam (chicken satay), bulgogi, kimchi, and doenjang-jjigae (Korean soybean paste stew)

I’d bring some fresh tomatoes out of the garden along with frying up some fresh okra from the garden, and maybe a fruit salad with lots of different berries in it.

I’d bring some rigatoni with sausage and some homemade marinara. Also sternos to keep it warm.

I can make the creamy punch.

Best creamy punch recipe: 2 liters Canada Dry® Ginger Ale; and 1 quart softened milk sherbet; and 2 liters of matching Faygo® or Towne Club® sodapop. (Examples: orange sherbet & orange sodapop; cherry sherbet & Black Cherry sodapop. Sherbet must have milk listed as one of the first two ingredients. Mix carefully and use a huge bowl—it will be fizzy.)
