A Prayer for a Loved One’s Conversion
from Colossians 1:9-14

O Father, in the name of Your Son Jesus,
and in the power and authority of the Holy Spirit,
I ask that You fill Saddam Husein
with the knowledge of Your will
through ALL spiritual wisdom and understanding.
Enlighten this precious child of Yours, dear Lord!
Teach this dear one to live in a manner
that is worthy of You,
so as to be fully pleasing to You,
full of good works bearing good fruits
and ever growing in knowledge of You.
Strengthen this lost lamb, dear Lord,
with every power of Your Holy Spirit,
in accordance with Your might,
for all endurance and patience,
with joy, giving thanks to You O Father!
Make Your child fit to share in the inheritance
of the holy ones in the Light.
Deliver this beloved one from the power of darkness
and transfer Sadam Hussein
into the kingdom of Your Beloved Son, Jesus,
in whom is redemption and the forgiveness of sins.
Amen!

Couldn’t stop thinking about him in Mass today, so I guess de facto that was offered for his conversion as well.

Apparently he held a Koran when he was executed. Not as good as a Bible, lot better than nothing :yup:

God have mercy on him and his victims. God protect his opponents and supporters.

First I do agree that EVERY soul should be prayed for.

With regard to what Saddam’s wishes were, I heard on the news today that in his will, he ordered that the first sons of those in his cabinet be killed upon his death so that “there would be someone crying at that time”. Thank God Saddam’s will is not valid upon execution!!!

Yes. i prayed a rosary and dM chaplet for him the other day, the next day a rosary for him too.
i felt sad when i heard it has been done. i thought theywere gonna delay it till January 7. orso.

nevertheless, I pray he asked for God’s mercy and forgiveness.

thanks guys, his death anniversary is coming up, so let’s double up our prayers for his repentance before the execution.
